Markku Lakio returns to Maisemakammi
After his visit last April, Markku Lakio brings the flavours of Andalusia to two November evenings.
The food traditions of southern Spain meet the Nuuksio forest and the open fire at Maisemakammi. The dinner moves from delicate scallop through venison fillet to a dessert built on anise, nuts and caramel.
Menu
Amuse-bouche
Scallop × pepper × saffron
Ibérico pork × Manchego × olive
Venison fillet × aubergine × Ronda wine sauce
Anise cream × nuts × caramel
Where the flavours come from
Andalusian food culture brings together the Mediterranean, inland country cooking and Moorish influence. Olives, aromatic spices and sweet desserts give this menu its character too.
The Ibérico pork is served with Manchego and olive salsa. The venison fillet comes with aubergine, a crumble of jamón and a sauce made from wine from the Ronda region.
The dessert takes its cue from gachas de leche, a traditional milk pudding flavoured with anise. In Lakio's version it arrives with nuts, caramel and a sauce made from Pedro Ximénez, a dark and sweet sherry.
The evening opens with a small greeting from the kitchen, in the spirit of the Spanish tapas tradition.
Dinner at Finland's best small event venue
Maisemakammi was named Finland's Best Small Event Venue at the Evento Awards 2026. Set above Lake Pitkäjärvi in Nuuksio, the space has a turf roof, a stone floor, an open fire and a round panoramic window looking out over the water — the setting for an unhurried dinner in the forest.
Both evenings are part of Food & Forest, a themed week in November showcasing the forest restaurants of Nuuksio.
One seating each evening at 18.00. Places are limited.
